Godolphin Implements Meticulous Management of Red Wine

Industrial Solutions 2025-12-18 61 views

Recently, Godolphin has adopted West-HN's ZigBee-based Audio-Visual Asset Management System for precise management of its red wine collection. Relevant bottles can be located promptly using audio-visual tags, while the system establishes detailed profiles and management logs for each wine, facilitating reliable queries and comprehensive understanding for users.

Wine is a living product. Improper storage of a fine wine can significantly impact its taste. Therefore, environmental requirements during wine storage are extremely stringent. Four key points must be considered for red wine storage: constant temperature, constant humidity, protection from light, and protection from vibration. Temperatures that are too high or too low can adversely affect wine quality, so it is essential to maintain a temperature below 20°C, ideally around 12°C. The optimal storage humidity is generally between 65-76%; excessive humidity can also compromise the wine's taste. Protection from light is necessary because light can cause the conversion of tannins in the wine, degrading its quality. Similarly, vibration accelerates chemical reactions within the wine, reducing its storage potential. Consequently, wine merchants require effective management of the vintage and storage duration for each bottle.

Application Diagram

  • First, each bottle of wine needs to be bound to a tag, with the relevant information stored in the cloud server.
  • Wireless card readers read the tags representing the wines. A single reader can simultaneously read information from up to 500 tags; additional readers can be added for expansion.
  • The related tag information is published to the cloud server. The cloud server's application stores and publishes information based on predefined logic.
  • Users can locate specific wines or conduct a one-key inventory check of all wines via a mobile client.

About Godolphin

Godolphin was founded in Shanghai in 2010. Between 2010 and 2013, as one of the leading professional wine education institutions, it played a significant role in promoting major global wine regions—including Bordeaux in France, California and Napa Valley in the USA, Australia, and Spain—into the Chinese market, and co-developed regional education programs. Godolphin excels in exploring the artistry of wines from the perspective of the mature wine culture of the Western world, examining themes of the ephemeral and the eternal as proven over time. The exhibits and arrangements at its exhibitions present an exceptionally rich and comprehensive chain of evidence.
